Just apples in this Apple Butter- our ingredient list couldn't be simpler; just apples, apples and more apples and some Vermont apple cider to help cook things down. Kelt (at SideHill Farm) estimates there are 6 apples in each jar, packing in that apple flavor. If you haven't had their apple butter before, you haven't had the real thing before. A traditional topping, Apple butter makes a terrific ingredient in cooking - try using as a replacement for some of the butter in your baking for lower fat treats.
Sidehill Farm takes pride in preserving the taste of homemade jam using the same methods their great grandmothers used to assure there is more fruit and more flavor in every bite. They combine the finest fruits with pure cane sugar, and boil them down the old-fashioned way, without added pectin, preservatives or artificial ingredients.
