Compared to my standard kitchen measuring spoons, this little scoop levels out at about 1-1/5 tsp, which I find, a real-word improvement for making a cup of tea. And perhaps even better than it's nice looks and its feel in my hand, is that I now have a fixed measure of comparison, instead of trying guess according any number of tableware "teaspoons" in my drawer.
It really does make a difference what spoon you use for making tea. This spoon holds the perfect amount and fits into sample bags without spilling which helps me get the most out of my tea.
I have a tea mug at work that has a strainer and this spoon is perfect to be able to scoop out a perfect amount of tea per cup. I can either do a scoop or 2 depending on how strong. I like the shape and size and it's easier than using an actual teaspoon!
Ok, maybe I dont technically need this lovely item. I know I have teaspoons in my kitchen. But I cook a lot and they are often dirty, so I am so excited to have a dedicated spoon just for my tea. The tea stays in very well even when digging to the bottom of a foil package. Its cute and I love it! I think all the accessories on your site are so well-priced and make me so excited about drinking tea.
I have various spoons to measure tea, but this is the only one I use. It has great reach into my container or bag and holds the tea leaves very well. You wouldn't think that there are a lot of differences in such a simple implement, but this one really is the best!
