Iced Tea Blend Tea
Iced Tea Blend Tea
One of Mr. Vail's 15 original tea blends.
This old-time formula incorporates Ceylon, China and Indian teas, with a splash of bergamot, to make a bright amber cup with a smooth well-rounded taste. The subtle citrus notes make this an ideal blend for iced tea!
Ingredients: Black teas and natural bergamot oil.
Brew tea at 212º - steep for 3 minutes.
To make the perfect glass of iced tea:
Put approximately ½ ounce (¼ cup) of loose tea into a small container. Pour boiling water over the tea to cover. Let steep 5 minutes, strain out leaves into a ½ gallon (8 cup) container and add cold water to fill. Stir and refrigerate.
If your iced tea gets cloudy, add a few drops of boiling water to the brew.

This is the exact flavor that I love for an iced tea. Perfect. I drink it unsweetened and it has such a satisfying flavor when I want a true black iced tea. And when I accidentally lose track of time and steep a couple minutes longer than I'm supposed to, the flavor is nice and strong, but with no bitter or bad tastes. This is a winner for sure!
I'm not a huge fan of bergamont, and don't regularly drink earl grey teas, but I decided to give this blend a try. The touch of bergamont in this blend is perfect, and not overpowering! I drink my iced tea black, and the bergamont adds the just the right amount of brightness and acidity. I would highly recommend this blend, and will be ordering it again!
