Legacy Blend
Legacy Blend
Jim Sr. loved all types of tea; however, this interesting blend that he concocted became his favorite, and one that always jump-started his day! The rich flavors of Assam and Pu-erh meld together into a dark amber cup with an earthy, malty and smooth tasting tea that can be enjoyed, as he did, not only in the morning, but throughout the day.
Ingredients: Assam black tea and Pu-erh black tea.
Brew tea at 212º - steep for 3 minutes.

I was disappointed. I’m a black tea drinker and have been an S&V customer for decades but this disappointed me. There aren’t many teas that Jim liked over the years that I haven’t liked, but this is one. It has some non-tea flavorings that are just not for me.
This tea was suggested to me by the owner based on other unflavored black teas I like (Columbian Cacao Kisses and Scottish teas are my preference) and WHEW is the Legacy Blend smooth smooth smooth! It is hands-down one of my top favorites for a morning cup— and I’m a coffee drinker! Absolutely try it and give it as a gift to anyone in your life who values a smooth, rich cup of black tea (with a pu’erh flair)!
This is quite possibly the perfect tea and no wonder: the one who designed it really knew his stuff. We can't get enough of it, drinking it strong in the morning and a little lighter in the afternoon at tea time. It does fine in a resteep but we're so addicted to it we have to start fresh each time lately. Will be buying my weight in it. An absolute triumph in tea.
When I first saw this tea, I knew I had to try it- not only did it contain two of my favorite teas, but I also had the pleasure of meeting Jim Sr (albiet over the phone) and he was so sweet and kind! I was heartbroken to hear of his passing but Id like to think we are sharing a cup of his delicious tea once in awhile. This tea is strong and robust! I like it with creamer- I think it brings out the subtle malty and chocolate tones. Thank you Mr. Harron for your kindness- I wont forget it.
