One smell of our Baklava dessert tea and you'll be anxious for the kettle to boil. The aroma is a heady combination of sweet and spicy while the amber colored brewed cup has the buttery, sweet taste of Baklava and cloves. The combination is spectacular and will have you longing for your next sip.

Ingredients: Black teas, organic cloves, natural flavor, sweet blackberry leaf, rose petals, and calendula petals.

Brew tea at 212º - steep for 3 minutes.

"Baklavocao"

Our customer Dov Treiman blended up a delicious brew and was kind enough to share it for all!  Dov blends baklava with cacao nibs in a 2:1 ratio.  Try it and you'll be as delighted as we are with the addition of cacao nibs to this tea!

Customers praised this dessert tea as "delicious" with naturally sweet and savory notes. The tea works hot or cold and is versatile enough for breakfast or dessert. However, some shoppers felt the flavor was too light or didn't accurately capture authentic baklava taste, noting it leans more toward caramel, spices, or honey-chai.

Possibly the Most Delicious Dessert Tea in Existence

This is probably the most delicious dessert tea in existence. Full disclosure, however: I've happily drunk it to as a morning tea on MANY mornings. Hey! It's the same principle as having a chocolate chip muffin or a danish pastry for breakfast, right? The wonderful thing about this tea, however, is that it is a guilt-free self-indulgence. Too many pastries for breakfast would eventually be too much of a good thing. It is possible to enjoy this tea, however, WHENEVER I wish with no unfortunate consequences to my waistline. :>) I should add that this tea has another advantage over actual pastries. Although the baklava flavor is perfectly captured, there is a depth to this tea that keeps it from ever getting cloying. It is full-bodied and mouth-filling but so well-balanced that it satisfies without satiating. Simpson and Vail carry an exceptional range of stellar teas and this is one of their very best.

Very good tea.

Tried this tea and coming back for more. It's good hot or cold. I fixed it as Iced tea and my girlfriend went crazy over it.

Interesting Tea

This is among my favourite teas, although my description of the flavour may be a little unusual; I think it tastes like an old barrel, but in a really good way.

I love this tea. It’s naturally sweet and also savory. One of my favorites

Good tea, but not really Baklava

I like this Baklava tea, but it’s not my favorite from S&V. I purchased several teas a while back and all are gone now, except for the baklava of which I still have nearly a whole bag. I think it tastes too much like caramel and cookies or cake instead of the flakey, sweet, honeyed baklava. It’s still a good cup of tea and taste is so subjective, but I think the recipe could be tweaked a bit to end up with more of a baklava flavor.

Love this tea!

This tea captured the flavor of the Greek walnut baklava my neighbor used to make. The cloves and aroma really nailed it for me, despite what others have said. Love it!

I love it regardless

Does it actually taste like baklava? Not really, but it does taste good. If you want to get a bit closer, have it with honey!

Very cozying

I am usually a green, white, or rooibos drinker, but occasionally get a hankering from something more dense. This is a delicious, warming tea with a instant, up-front cinnamon or maybe all-spice flavor, that blends down quickly with rich, long-lasting, nutty and caramel or brown sugar aftertaste. Reminds me sleigh bells or snow fall -- all things Christmas-y. The aroma is decadent, with the caramel coming through more in the nose than tastebuds. Reminds me a lot of SV's Caramel Walnut Shortbread tea, both of which are winners.

Not really baklava, but still good

I've only had baklava once or twice in my life, and it really doesn't remind me of it, but that doesn't mean it isn't tasty. It reminds me more of a honey-flavored chai than anything. It's very heavy on the spices, and there's a light honey flavor that comes out when you sweeten it. Not something I'd want to drink in the spring and summer months, but perfect for the fall and winter.

Not what I was hoping for in this blend.

I had to try this one, as I adore most of the S&V blends I've tried. But I just can't seem to find anything special with this one. The black tea base results in the lightest of brews - it's the lightest of honey colors and has barely any flavor itself. I definitely need more from a black tea than this. The blackberry leaves don't ruin the flavor but they really shouldn't be here either. Otherwise, I'm only tasting a hint of spices. The roses are a nice touch but I don't think they add much to the taste. I've only had actual baklava once in my life (and it probably wasn't an accurate TRUE baklava) but if baklava is supposed to be dough and honey and nuts, this tea is definitely not that. This blend just doesn't work for what it's supposed to represent, and I would just find this blend boring no matter what the name was. Sorry, S&V!Steep #1 // 1 1/2 teaspoons for a full mug// 16 minutes after boiling // 2 1/2 minute steepSteep #2 // just boiled // 4 minute steep

Too Light For Me

I ordered this as a sample because i'm not usually one to enjoy dessert teas, however I have always been a HUGE fan of baklava my whole life and when I saw this I couldn't let it go!My first impression was the smell. It smells wonderfully delicious, spicy and sweet! It wet my appetite to try a cup as soon as possible! My first taste, however, did not live up to the strong smell. I expected the smell to suggest the taste would be strong as well and was disappointed to find I barely taste any baklava at all. There is a hint of nuttiness that baklava has, but I didn't even taste any sweet. I added a couple spoons of honey and it tastes a little better after that, but the idea that this tastes just like baklava is not accurate to me. I was disappointed.. BUT, as a lightly flavored black tea I still enjoy this tea very much and if you don't hold the tea up to the expectation of tasting just like baklava then I would still suggest this to any friends who enjoy black tea with honey!

Really like this

I really like the dessert teas - this one did not disappoint. I wasn't sure if I would like it, but it's actually quite nice. It's not too sweet, and has a nice spicy flavor to it.
