Honoring our beautiful National Parks

There are over 419 national parks across the US and this number grows every year. The massive protection project covers over 84 million acres and is kept by the National Park Service, multiple non-profits, volunteers, etc. One could say we all have an influence on our nation’s National Parks. My journey with the National Parks began in Sept. 2017 during a spontaneous trip to Colorado. With a pair of hiking boots I bought two days prior, I decided to take on the Rockies. Beyond this, I travelled to the Great Smoky Mountains, Shenandoah, the Grand Canyon, Acadia, and many other National Parks not (yet) featured in this tea line. Over the years I found a lot of comparisons between the National Parks and tea; for instance, stress is often relieved while enjoying a warm cup of tea, just as it virtually disappears at the peak of a mountain. 

Our National Park Tea Collection blends were formulated after conducting extensive research on the different flora found in each Park, the environment and general appearance, which helped make the decision as to what flavors, herbs, teas, and fruits we would put into each blend.

Our goal is to raise awareness for the National Parks and help people re-experience or newly experience the joy the parks provide. We also want to make sure we were doing our part in protecting the national parks by donating 10% of sales to the featured parks non-profit. Acadia

Known as the Crown Jewel of the North Atlantic Coast, Acadia is filled with a plethora of unique scenery.

Great Smoky Mountains 

The Smoky Mountains, on the Tennessee-North Carolina border, is the most visited park in the US with numbers like 11.4 million visits in 2018.

Experience the grandeur of the Smokies with this great combination of smoked teas and wild berries.  The tea brews to a bold, amber cup with the taste of fresh picked blackberries and a faint smoky aftertaste.

 

Rocky Mountains 

The Rocky Mountains, as of 2018, is now the 3rd most visited park in the US, partly due to the breathtaking views the park provides.

Relive an exciting hiking adventure in the Rockies with the aroma and taste of this memorable tea. The amber colored cup has a light musky raspberry taste that perfectly complements the pine tree aroma of the sage.

 

 

Grand Canyon

This blend was created to capture the essence of the majesty and splendor of the Grand Canyon. The dark amber cup has a delicate desert taste with a smooth, sweet, fruity finish. The subtle flavor of prickly pear imparts a lovely light tart, crisp taste.

Shenandoah 

The Blue Ridge Mountains are believed to be over 500 million years old, making this one of the oldest mountain ranges in the world. They were named for the blue hue that is visible when viewed from afar. Shenandoah National Park is comprised of part of the Blue Ridge Mountains, with the broad Shenandoah River and Valley on the west side, and the rolling hills of the Virginia Piedmont on the east.

The spectacular Blue Ridge Mountains and lush forests that comprise Shenandoah National Park served as the inspiration for this refreshing, misty green colored cup. The lively notes of lemon are accompanied by a hint of ginger and a delicate elderberry finish.

Yellowstone

Inspiration for this tea blend came from the vibrant hues circling the Grand Prismatic Spring in Yellowstone. The fruity and flavorful blend brews to an amber cup with a sweet, creamy, prickly pear flavor and an underlying bergamot taste.

Yosemite

Refreshing like the air in Yosemite, this black tea blend combines pineapple and spearmint to create an amber cup that is a perfect marriage of flavors. When brewed the heavenly mint aroma, with a hint of pineapple, will tantalize your senses. 

 

Zion

The abundance of red rock and the flora found in Zion, such as desert lavender, sage, and elderberry, inspired us to create this bold blend. The deep red colored cup has a tantalizing aroma and brews to a creamy fruit and floral taste.
